Audyssey Pro on NAD T785

I have a NAD T785 AVR. Pro setup was done by my dealer in May 2008. A couple days later I noted back channels were listed in the setup whereas I have none ( 5.1 surrounds only ). I thought this was strange but I ignored it: The front speakers are Dali 400 Helicons which my AVR measured as "large". So I deleted the back channels and set the sub crossover to 60HZ for the advantages of the increased Audyssey control of the Sub performance. My Audyssey light glows red.

Sound is great so my question is really the back channels indications and my raising the crossover point and is there a worthwhile upgrade to the Pro software I should talk to my dealer about? I have to say the sound is really great and more than anything I note the placement and clarity in the vocals ( CD source ).

    I am not sure why the Back Surrounds were showing in your setup.  Perhaps they were enabled during the initial calibration.  In any case, if you have no speakers connected there it makes no difference.  Changing the crossover to 60 Hz instead of running the speakers as Large is a very good idea for the reason you stated.  The Audyssey light turns red just to indicate that a change was made from the initial settings.

    There have been updates to the MultEQ Pro software, but these involve compatibility with the newer AVRs that have been released since then.  The core functionality and algorithms are still the same.

    What are differences between Pro 3.0 and 3.3?  Any reason to re-calibrate?

    No reason to recalibrate.  The new release simply covers the new products coming out this year.
