How important is ambient noise when taking measurements? Particulary when there will be devices on most of the time (ie home theater computer, video projector).

Audyssey Labs It's important to minimize all ambient noise. The Audyssey room correction measurements are designed to fix problems with room acoustics, not to reduce the effects of background noise. So, any noise from projectors, fans, appliances, etc. will interfere with the measurements.
