Dynamic Volume

I recently installed a Denon AVR-1610 and of course want the advantages of Audyssey Dynamic Volume. But it seems my receiver's Dyn Vol doesn't kick in fast enough allowing to much variance in loud channels and commercials. In other words, there is still too much discrepancy in the volume between TV channels, such as CNN and Fox News particularly. Is there some parameter I can set that makes Dynamic Volume get more actively involved in controlling volume thus preventing my experience of too much variance in volumes between TV channels?

Pritt

Unfortunately, TV stations are trying their hardest to push the limits and this is often made worse by locally injected content (e.g. local ads). There are three presets for Dynamic Volume. Denon calls them Day, Evening, Midnight. Midnight is the one that more aggressively minimizes the differences between loud and reference (dialog level).

Hopefully the Midnight setting will get you closer to what you are trying to achieve.
