Main-in / Pre out

Do any of the receivers using Audyssey apply Audyssey to the main-in / pre out's, allowing one to use the receiver strictly for Audyssey processing?

    To my knowledge only the Denon 5308 and AVP1 allow any type of digital processing from the analog multichannel inputs. That is because most manufacturers decide not to put digital-to-analog converters on the multichannel analog input and so it's impossible for the signal to be sent to the DSP chip where Audyssey and other digital algorithms run.

    All receivers allow Audyssey processing from the 2-channel analog inputs, and of course from all the digital inputs.

    Finally, the Audyssey processing is available to the speaker signals and to the pre-out signals.
