Adjust speaker levels after calibration

I have a Integra 9.8 that has an Audyssey ability.
The reading shows that the speakers are at minus levels instead of around zero.
IOW's on one receiver my fronts and sides are at -6.5, my front is -8.5and my rears are -3.5.
Can I adjust them to zero by making the fronts 0 and sides and the center -2 and the rears +3.

    You can adjust the trims after calibration, but it will change your reference volume setting. With the trims you have now, reference volume is when the master volume control is at 0. This tells Dynamic EQ when to start working (at all levels below that).

    Chris - just had Audyssey Pro done by an installer tonight and what a sound. Congrats on a fantastic product and anybody with a home theater in their home should have Audyssey Pro done.

    Hi Chris,

     

    I recently set up Audyssey Pro on my Denon 4520 and found the subwoofer level to be set too high by Pro at -5.5 db. So I manually changed this to -11.5 db after the calibration. Does this affect the Pro calibration in any way?

    Audyssey sets the speaker and sub levels so that (1) they play at the same level as each other and (2) they play at film reference when you set the volume control at 0 dB.

    If you have a preference for different levels then it's fine to change them.  The room correction filters are not affected by this change.

    Thanks Chris. My receiver is set from 0-99 db by default and I listen at 75 db (which is the level that I do the subwoofer matching during the Pro setup). I have the velodyne DD-12 that has the built-in SMS-1 which was equalized prior to the Pro setup. I'm surprised that I had to make this change and would have expected the Pro to take care of this. I have set up the Denon for 5.1 (Front Bi-amp) + Zone 2 as I have only 5 speakers and one sub and do not use Zone 2. Not sure if I should change the 4520 amp assign configuration to something else for optimal Pro confifuration.

    The volume control is not calibrated to acoustical dB.  Reference level listening is usually at 63 dB in Onkyo AVRs.  

    The change you made is for your own preference.  MultEQ doesn't know what that is.  It sets levels to reference.
