Audyssey's new Sub EQ HT

Hellow Audyssey,
I read on your face book page that the new Denon AVR-4311 will include your new Audyssey's new Sub EQ HT, great stuff but will this do away for the need for a seperate Sub EQ like your unit or the SVS unit?

    If you plan to purchase one of the higher end AVRs that will include this feature then you won't need the separate unit. The separate units will continue to serve those that have an existing AVR or purchase a lower model in the line that doesn't include Sub EQ HT. Also, they will be good for those who do buy one of the new AVRs, but want to integrate more than 2 subs.

    Chris, how would a separate sub EQ handle more than two subs any differently than SubEQ HT?  Wouldn't both involve splitting the two sub signals ito four?

    I have the same question as Jerry.  For example, how can a Denon 4311 be used with a separate sub EQ for more than two subs?  Are there any constraints with regard to performance characteristics or placement of the subs in this configuration?

    You could send the sub output of the Denon to a Sub EQ that will then take care of blending two subs.  With one Sub EQ and the Denon you could calibrate 3 subs.  Keep in mind, however, that the Sub EQ is now discontinued...
