MultEQ XT vs DSX

What is the difference. I'm looking for a new home cinema amp. One has DSX the other  MultEQ XT. What should I prefer.... (i'm using 5 speakers, no sub)

    Hi Mark,

The two technologies are unrelated.  MultEQ is our technology for measuring the acoustical problems of the room and creating an EQ solution to fix them.  DSX is our technology for expanding 5.1 surround to 7, 9 or 11 channels.  It requires additional speakers.

    Hi.

Thank you for a super quick reply.  I'm choosing a new receiver for my home cinema. Onkyo TX-NR616 vs. Denon AVR-2113

Denon has Audessy MultQT XT, Onkyo Audessy DSX & 2EQ dynamic volume.

Now with your added info I understand that the avr-2113 does a better job of calibrating my room because it has the multqt xt compared to the onkyo's 2eq. I only have 5 speakers, so the DSX would not matter to me at all.

    Did I understand correctly?

      All the best,

    Mark
