Audyssey Movie and Music in new Onkyo TX NR5010/3010

Hi Chris,

The user manual of the latest Onkyo TX NR5010 and 3010 mentions Audyssey Off, Movie and Music (p. 75 and 76 US manual).

Is this a newly developed Audyssey technology? How does it relate to MultEQ XT32, Dyn EQ and DSX?

    Hi Hugo,

    These are simply names for the Audyssey target curves that Onkyo uses. In older Onkyo models you may recall that the target curve (Flat or Reference) was selected automatically.  Now, Onkyo allows the user to select what they want.  

    Music = Audyssey Flat

    Movie = Audyssey Reference
