Hi Chris,
I am in the process of setting up my speaker system and I am a little confused. I am getting conflicting advice from different websites. I have Onkyo TX-NR 1007 receiver and I would like to setup my system as to take full advantage of Audyssey technology.
Here are my questions.
1. For height speakers I can go as high as 8', what is the best height for these speakers?.
2. For Wide speakers, what is the best height in comparison to front L/R speakers (I am using 2 Tower for front), also should they be at 60 degree angle? If so that means they will be to the side not exactly to the front of the listener.
3. For Surround I am using di-pole and I have heard people recommend from ear-level to up to 6' high. What would be the best height for these speakers and should they be slightly behind or to the side of the listener.
4. For Surround Back, what is the best height and width? Also, I can go as far back as 8' and I am planning on putting them on back wall which is 8' from the couch.
Thank you for your expert advice in advance and I am really looking forward to hearing from you.
