I was reading when you want Audyssey 'Flat' target curve with the onkyo, you must use one of the thx listning modes.
Now the normal pure sound modes ( dts hd, dolby digital, etc ) has also a re-eq option just as in the thx listing modes ( thx cinema, thx music etc ).
My question is, must i turn off re-eg for both pure and thx modes for getting the flat curve?
Yes, if you want a flat curve you should turn off re-eq for all modes. Please keep in mind that for movie listening at home there is a small high frequency roll off required for proper translation of the listening conditions. A little more info on this can be found here:

Is it not that most blu ray/ dvd movies already have a slight roleoff curve in the high frequency because they are made for home viewing?
If you watch does movies with the audyssey house curve dont you get a double roleoff?
Very few movies are remixed this way for home and this is a terrible thing. It's certainly not the majority. Sadly, the home remixes are not made by the original mixers and so there is no guarantee that the intent of the art is maintained. To make matters worse, there is no standard for these mixes and there is no indication that a change has been made. I hope this terrible idea goes away...
So the best thing is too experiment witch curve sounds best. About the RE-EQ thing. When i select for example DTS HD and RE-EQ is enabled do i get a double roleoff? Because with onkyo receivers if you are not in thx mode you use the house curve.
