Calibration Mic

Bought open box Marantz SR5005. Salesman rounded up a mic saying that they were all the same. I am having trouble with auto setup. Manual says mic is supposed to be ACM1H. My mic does not look like picture, not does it have any part numbers on it. It is a lower profile mic....not a towering profile like the ACM1H.

How important is it to have the ACM1H?

Thanks

Very important, if it's not the right mic then the mic calibration programmed into the Marantz will be incorrect. They are not all the same.

Nick is correct.  You will not get the right results from a different mic.  There is a calibration curve specifically made for the ACM-1H that is stored in the AVR.

Yes, the ACM1HB has the same response as the ACM1H.
