Multiple subs. No dipole

Hello, thanks for the forum. I am considering purchasing a SVS surround setup. However, they do not make a dipole. So I have the option of a bipole or mono. Which would be your choice or should I look elsewhere? I was also considering two subs. I have found that I can buy multiple smalller/less expensive subs for roughly the same price as one SVS. Your thoughts?
