is it worth 9.2

dear Chris,

 

i already have a 7.2 system with denon 4311 in a room 15ft X 16ft .

is it a good idea to add 2 more wide speakers or my room is too small?

    Yes! It's definitely worth it.  In fact, Wides make a much bigger improvement than Back Surrounds.  You could stay with 7.2, but move the Back Surrounds to the ±60° Wide position along the side walls (and make sure they are at ear height just like the fronts).  Or you could add two bookshelf speakers as Wides.
