What happened to the Audio Dock Air?

I was eagerly waiting for the Audio Dock Air to appear, indeed some owners already seem to have got it last year, but now it seems to have been pushed back. Amazon says it will be available from October 2012?!! Also Audyssey's site says it will appear "soon".

What was the reason for the delay?

I received mine a couple of weeks ago from OneCall.com but I see that they no longer offer it. I read somewhere that there were supply issues related to the Airplay chip from Apple but there may have been other reasons for the delay. Audyssey recently posted an update on their Facebook page saying that Brookstone orders were now being filled.

I'm very happy with the LES Audio Dock Air. I use it in our bedroom, where its compact design and room-filling sound are perfect for our use. The only problem I had was with the initial WiFi pairing process. I did call technical support and we determined that the "radio mode" setting on my Apple Airport Express was not compatible with the WiFi requirements of the LES Audio Dock Air. My router had been set to radio mode "802.11n only". Once I changed it to "802.11n (802.11b/g compatible)", the dock was able to pair with the router.

Sorry - that was Crutchfield that was now shipping them, not Brookstone.

There were some units that went out for early release.  They have finally officially been released and the Audio Dock Air is now avaiable for purchase at Crutchfield and OneCall as long as they have stock.  The date of October that Amazon had listed was incorrect.  They will soon have inventory as well.
