Hum & Buzzing through dock connection

Appears I'm having an issue with my dock connector and my iPhone 4S. When using it for audio there's a loss in sound fidelity, a constant buzz and hum. I tried adjusting the rubber stopper but doesn't seem like any adjustment helps, only switching to bluetooth audio fixes it. it sounds like I have a loose connection for my dock connector possibly?

    I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you are having.  Have you tried docking any other devices to the 30-pin connector to verify that it is only a problem with your iPhone 4S?

    Does the same thing with an iPod Touch. The dock seems to work fine when it is turned on for about 10-15 minutes, then after that there are audio drops and static. Sometimes I can push the iPhone down and it will work, sometimes the static just won't go away.
