Sound is transmitted through alternating changes in pressure that push and pull air molecules to create waves.
Wavelength is the distance between peaks in sound wave. Ranges from 17 m to 1.7 cm. That's 1000:1 compared to 2:1 for light.
Frequency indicates how often sound vibrations are occurring. Low frequency= long wavelength. Measured in Hz (cycles/sec).
Phase represents the start time difference btween two signals of the same frequency. Opposite phase signals cancel each other.
