Apple TV vs Audyssey LES standby mode

I would like to use the LES speakers with an apple tv.

The speakers enter in standby mode after 15 min or so without a signal. If the apple tv wakes up and starts to receive an airplay stream, the speakers will be still in standby mode (they don't wake up when a signal is detected). That means I have to manually turn on the speakers if  I want to start streaming. 

Is there any way to make the speakers stay on all the time, or set something up to enable the wake up on signal feature? Without either of these features it becomes quite hard to use it in the apple tv scenario, as I would have to turn them on each time before I want to start streaming.

    The speakers go into standby mode (off) after around 30 minutes if no signal is detected.  To get them out of standby mode the button has to be pressed.

    Cindy, can you put in a product enhancement request to do an auto wake-up from standby mode?  Lazy couch potatoes don't want to get up to turn on the speakers ;-)

    I just posted similar question to FAQ and waiting on response. Mine actually drops while being used.

    Can either Audyssey or a clever user come up with a low-power way to "fool" the LES speakers not to go into standby?  I'm not sure what to use, but I would like to be able to feed a virtually inaudible signal that will prevent them from going into standy and find my own way to turn that "dummy" signal off via remote or, possibly, leave it on if it is low level enough as to be inaudible when a full audio signal is playing.  I'm really half-guessing here, with half-enough knowledge to be dangerous, but what if, for example, you ran a very low volume analog signal via the 3.5mm analog input and had your main audio source wired to the optical/digital inputs on the speakers?  Does the LES refuse two simultaneous inputs?  Are there other ways to keep the LES off standby so I don't have to go across the room to push the on/off switch every time I want to use them?

     

    C'mon you techies out there - these problems were created for you to solve.

     

    PS: Audyssey, no offense but this is about the most nutso approach to turning powered speakers on/off that you should probably accept them back and replace with your wireless speakers!

    I completely agree with the other comments here. This is a terrible "feature".  If I pause my music to take a phone call, I then have to go and turn the speakers back on in order to resume playback.
