amp and DRM song

Audyssey processing turns off when I play a DRM song. Why?

Apple won’t allow processing of older DRM files. You can listen to them, but Audyssey’s processing will be off.

When playing a DRM song, Audyssey stops playing if I go to some other app or hit the Home or power/lock buttons. Going back to Audyssey, I get a message "Your playlist has paused due to iCloud/DRM. Press play to continue." This is kind of a drag.
